Dear Sirs and Madams,
Thank you for taking the time to review my resume' website. I am currently a student at Palomar College in the
paralegal certification program. My goal for completion of this program is December 2005.
I am interested in obtaining a position in a law firm or law office that will enable me to expand on the knowledge and
skills that I have acquired through my studies at Palomar. Although my professional experience to date is that
of sales, I feel that I have developed many skills that I can carry over into a legal career.
I have worked in an office environment for eighteen years. During this time, I have worked with all levels of personnel.
As a sales representative, I have extensive customer relations experience. In addition, the review of documents has
been a very integral part of my role in sales. I also have experience with many different softwares.
It has been essential throughout my career to have the ability to learn new programs as necessary. Monitoring
backlogs and customer follow-up are also skills that can be very useful in case management.
My decision to change careers from that in sales to a paralegal is due to a desire to do something that I find interesting.
I would also like to be in a position where I can assist people with genuine problems.
This said, I feel that I have much to offer as a paralegal. I realize that I may have to start with an entry
level position. I am confident, however, that with minimal experience, I will be able to perform beyond that. I
would very much like the opportunity to discuss any positions for which you feel I may be suited.
Please feel free to contact me via email or phone.
Sincerely,
Kimberly A. Walsh
